Atheist Church Online is a discord server that strives to recreate the ritual, community, and beauty of weekly church meetings, without such pesky things as "gods" or "being in the same physical location". We do this through weekly talks given through discord voice chat, discussions about that talk, and through generous and open minded discussion all through the week. I was inspired to found Atheist Church Online based on my experience with Seattle Atheist Church, whose website can be found here:
Seattle Atheist ChurchLet me be clear: we are making a church, not a battleground. If you are coming here to argue or fight, you are in the wrong place. Theists and Atheists alike who turn the space into a hostile one will be banned.
In addition, this server has members with a wide range of ages. Inappropriate behavior in this server (posts, emoji, avatars, usernames, and nicknames) includes but is not limited to:
-- doxxing (sharing/exposing another person’s information or identification without their consent)
-- hateful language or actions, including but not limited to racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic language, and deliberately misgendering someone.
-- sharing explicit material (videos/articles/pictures), including but not limited to nudity, depictions or discussion of sexual acts, excessive violence, or gore.
-- threadshitting (intentionally derailing or dismissing a conversation, person, or topic)
-- trolling (if your behavior is indistinguishable from trolling, you will be treated as a troll)
-- malicious hacking or attempting to buy/sell/trade illegal substances/materials
Atheist Church Online is an awesome community for atheists, agnostics, and skeptics who are interested, hopeful, or just curious about what a church can offer in a person's life.
